AC 302 MKIV CRS

The AC Cobra got its start when retired racecar driver Carroll Shelby came up with the winning if simple formula of placing a large American V8 in a smaller European car. His initial candidate for an engine was the small, all-aluminum V8 made by Buick, but GM was less than enthusiastic in its support. Ford, on the other hand, was heavily involved in its Total Performance program, and was eager to help Shelby with his project.
